Basic essentials for the operation of aforklift
1. Familiarize yourself with the important components of the forklift (handbrake, clutch, accelerator, brake, gearshift, lift lever, tilt lever).
The handbrake is pulled down when the vehicle is stationary, the clutch is operated when starting, shifting gears, moving forward or backward slowly, the accelerator needs to be properly controlled, the brake is an important component for vehicle braking, the forklift only has fast and slow forward and backward gears, the lift lever andtilt lever are used in coordination when loading goods.
2. Starting the forklift: Starting the vehicle may seem simple but is actually very important. Release the handbrake, raise the forks, press the clutch, shift into forward or reverse gear and fastor slow speed, gently release the clutch, and steer carefully. The steering wheels of a forklift are at the back and have a small distance between them.
3. Loading goods: Drive the vehicle to the front of the goods, press the clutch, put the forward gear in neutral, release the clutch, control the lift lever to raise or lower to the appropriate position, press the clutch, shift into forward gear, gently release the clutch, and the vehicle moves forward slowly. Adjust the lift lever to insert the forksinto the bottom or middle of the goods. Press the clutch, shift into neutral, control the tilt lever to tilt up to the appropriate height, press the clutch, shift into reverse gear, and drive smoothly.
4. Unloading goods: Drive the vehicle tothe position of the goods, press the clutch, move forward slowly, and stop by pressing the brake. Shift into neutral, lower the forks slowly, and level the tilt lever. Press the clutch and shift into reverse gear.
5. Parking the forklift: Drive the forklift to the parking position, press the clutch, shift into neutral, lower the forks to the bottom, pull up the handbrake, and turn off the engine.
6. For the goods to be loaded, adjust the distance between the forks in a timely manner according to the shape and volume of the goods to ensure that the load is evenly distributed on both sides. Only in this way can the loading work be stable and problems such as goods tipping over be avoided.
7. Whether the forklift is loaded or not, when the slope exceeds 5%, do not use neutral gear to coast downhill, as thiscan be dangerous.
8. If the forklift is heavily loaded, it is strictly prohibited to make emergency stops or turns, and the forks should not be raised or lowered during driving.
